A new Conservative era?

I constantly ponder if we are entering a new era where Conservative values of “Gays, Guns, and God” takes over the mainstream. Sure there are some that say the Conservative voice just happens to be louder at the moment, but I have to wonder about the people that just don’t get involved, people that just let slip the constant barrage of new laws that hamper on the very freedoms we hold dear.

First I would love to point out the new patriot, you know the guy or gal that has a adhesive US flag stuck to the back of their pick up truck, when did these people get anointed a patriot and me a betrayer? I love my country and would fight to my last breath if we had a real threat involved, but these self-proclaimed patriots just strut their Conservative values and stomp on middle-of-the-road common sense.

Then we of course have the Bushies, who won the election in part to the turnout of voters in swing states with anti-Gay initatives on the ballots. For the life of me I cannot phathom how anyone can be opposed two adults in a loving relationship. When did these bigots become so high and mighty?

So now we sit, post election, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
